Public lecture:

"How Discoveries Are Made and Why It Matters"

John C. Polanyi, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry
Kutxa Andia Hall, Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 19:30

John Polanyi is in charge of a laboratory at the University of Toronto in which, with a small group of students, he studies chemical reactions, one-molecule-at-a-time. In this talk he will describe, in simple terms, how this research came about and why it may matter. Every human being is a discoverer; what is special about the scientific community? What lessons have they to offer society at large? Above all, what is their responsibility to society?

Entrance is free and open to general public until capacity is complete.
The lecture will be held in English.

The Kutxa Andia Hall is located in the city centre as marked in the conference map.
